potato soup (with green chile)

Tiffany Pace brought over this meal to us when the kids were sick and David was traveling.
6 large russet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
1 large onion, chopped
42 oz. chicken broth
1/4 c. butter
2 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1 c. half and half
green chile

1. Combine the first 6 ingredients into crockpot
2. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours
3. Mash mixture. Stir in cream.

Top with:
shredded cheese
bacon pieces
green chile
chives
